Well I can easily say this was a very well made, fun game, but there was one major problems. It's been done about a thousand times. When you try to make a game as generic as this, that you know has been done multiple times on multiple sites, you have to do SOMETHING to make your version stand out. You failed to do that.

You had one mode, arcade mode. As if that was generic enough, I start playing it only to realise there is no level system. When there is no level system and only one mode to play, you begin to wonder what the point of even playing the game is. I say the most important change that would need to be made is the addition of a level system. Just something simple like you stay alive for a minute then you go to the next stage. And instead of choosing difficulties, just make it one difficulty and have the speed go up as you go through levels. Possibly add more colors at ascending levels.

Another change that drastically needs to be made for this game to be succesfull is more modes. Try doing the usual stuff, marathon mode where you can just keep playing as long as you want, speed mode where maybe you only have 5 seconds to aim before the ball shoots, simple stuff like that in addition to the arcade mode I previously suggested.

If you just add those two things I think this game would be able to compare to the thousands of other games that are almost identical to it. Anways despite its lack of originality and diversity I'm still voting a 4 for its quality.

I can easily say this is one of the most inovative games I have played in quite some time. I mean, the premise of the game was pretty unoriginal, just destroy the boxes that touch eachother. But that line drawing system you used to destroy the blocks made this game fun and addicting more then it could ever be without.

That just shows you how a small feature can really drastically change a game for the better because I know that if you just click on on a clump of the tiles, this wouldn't be getting a 10/10

Anyways it was also good that you gave us the choice of three pretty good playing modes. The infinity or whatever was good for those just want to keep playing. The timed was a good idea, but the time REALLY needed to be shortened. I'd say probably around a minute or two would be the best because when you think of timed, you would think of rushing to get as many blocks cleared as you can in a short amount of time. Or better yet, let us chose how long.

The skull game mode is where there was a lot more skill. (Also I'm not exactly sure if the skull killed you when they hit the bottom since I always ran out of moves before it got there, so I'll just asume they do) It made you think a few turns ahead of yourself so that you could aline the skulls so you don't die. The bombs were also a nice addition, I think there range of destruction should have probably been lowered though.

Anyways great game man, definantly one of the better puzzle games out there. Good job.

Thanks very much for the positive feedback - it's great to hear that people are enjoying the game. :-) I think you're right about the time limit in timed mode; it is a bit too long. I'm sure I'll be doing another puzzler before the year's out, so I'll bear that comment in mind. You're probably right about the bombs' range too! :-)

This game was very well made game, but it just wasn't delivered in a way that expresses it's full potential. The graphics were amazing. It had a bright, cheery background and the animation was nice a smooth. Definantly easy on the eyes. The idea for the game wasn't exactly what you would call original but it was good none the less.

What you should have done was something to stop it from just being mindless random clicking. For example, instead of saying "turn all the tiles white" you should have made it more allong the lines of "make the board look like this in x many turns" At the beginning levels it could be simple. You just get one flip to make it look like the shape you show on the screen and as you progress you have to do it more turns making it gradually harder.

Anyways it was still a very good game as is so I gave you a 4. Good job.

This was a very fun and addictive little minigame. Nothing special here but I found myself playing it over and over again. The physics were great. I loved the whole system of the more balls, the more points yet the harder it will be to balance. It's rewards the patient but can also provide a more fast paced game for people who would rather have that.

The one main suggestion I have for this is that you have two boxes at the top, one for highscore and one for current score. That would be great because I got my highest score on my first try, and when I went to start a new game, that score dissapeared and I couldn't remember it.

Another small suggestion would be to add some sort of level system. Like for the lower levels there won't be many balls on the field and you only have to stay up for 15 seconds but once you get towards the higher levels there will be a ton of balls flying onto the weight and you need to keep it up for a minute or more. But that's just a minor suggestion if you wanted to make a sequel or something.

Anyways very nice addicting game, I really do hope to see a sequel to this because it didn't seam like you made it to your full potential.

Highscore: 4373

I was almost surprised with how much I liked this game. It was incredibly simple with the only level scheme that reall existed being a larger variety of weights as you played longer, but I found it to be one of the most fun and addicting game I have played in quite a long time.

Although it did start off pretty slow things started get really fun once you started get 3 pound weights because that's when the strategy comes in to play. It wasn't just put a weight on one side, then the other side over and over again. Sometimes what you would have to do is make one side way heavier then the other before clearing out a row before it topples over.

You were able to do something that not many people are able to do, and that is making a puzzle game that keeps you on the edge of your seat and for that you should be very proud of this game. Good job.

I found this to be a really fun game. The idea of the game was a simple idea but with the combination of those balloon things, those anoying 8s, and the inclusion of chain reactions kept it an exiting game, despite it being a puzzle game.

The graphics were really great in this game, I kind of got a happy vibe from all the colors thrown around in this game. The animation was for the most part smooth and easy on the eyes. The addition of more colors throughout the game was also nice making it so the game could keep getting harder and not just be a test of how fast you can get to the end.

I did however have a few problems with moving the rows. For one, the rows would consistently lag for a few seconds before finally moving to where your mouse was which got really anoying during the more fast paced parts. Also I found some of the line-ups seamed to just plain not work. I would line them up just the way it should be but it would refuse to work. Also I found the 8s that blocked your line to be quite anoying and unnecesary.

Overall it was a great game that I had a lot of fun with, nice job.

Well you seamed to take the basis of a good dress up game and then take off all the things one person may like about a dressup game just to be original. The whole head and no body I dont think was the best idea on account of that really got rid of a lot of possabilities for things you could do. It also made things the the mace kind of useless.

I really dont see what the point was for having the items alpha that low exept for the eyes. And Im when I play a dress up game, Im not going to want to dress up a sketched picture. You usually look for more cartoony stuff in a dress up game. But you were original, and that is definantly hard to do in a dress up game since theres not much stuff you can do with it, so Im giving you a 3.

PS. eyes were completely off.

Frenzy responds:

The eyes... were completely... off?

Thanks for the reeview!

I thought this game was pretty fun. I was just playing by myself though so I dont know the full expeirience but from what I saw, it was pretty cool. You really should put some asemblance of a single player mode in here. Just a high score mode or anything. Just dont say "dont review unless you have two people" because probably about 0.001% of people here would actually call a friend or someone over to play this with them. It just doesnt happen that often. And do you know how awkward it is to play a two player game on a single keyboard. Well its very awkward. You end up pushing against eachother and it becomes very unenjoyable.

Anyways it still was a pretty good game. Im going to go ahead and give it a 5 because I love rhythm games. Just if you ever make a third one, make it single player. Boy will you get better reviews and a better score. Oh and I submitted it to the rock out collection.

jjmarth responds:

Thanks for submitting it to the rock out collection, and for voting 5 and for all the great sugestions about the game I think I might make a third one with in the rock out contest limit(wow that 1,2, and 3 right there) and try to figure out a way for a single player mode, thank you for a useful review.

My highscore was 356

The trick is to grab him by the part of his body where the two legs meet. Then in a quick motion, bring him high into the air then swing it down as fast as you can. If you do it right you should get about 300 from the start and then the points just keep going up as he falls more down.

wow

This is absolutely a-fucking-mazing. All the percision that went into this game is just incredible. I did not know something like this could be done in flash. Or any game making program for that matter. This will definantly be newgrounds number game for years to come. It wouldnt even surprise me if this was number 1 on the entire site because this kicks adam philips ass.
