I was an alright song. The synth just seamed very boring and unoriginal if you ask me. I mean I can easily say it was well made but it was definantly not something that stood out from other similiar tracks. The drums were very good and flowed with the song but it didn't have something that hasn't already been done which leaves you with an uninteresting piece.

Try taking some risks and doing something new and seeing peoples reactions to it and you may find people liking something that you would never have guessed them liking :o. It was still a very well made song though so I'm giving you a 4. I hope to see more from you in the future because you definantly got potential.

Thanks for the criticism, I'll try making something different from what I usually do.

Something about this song was very relaxing and soothing. My personal favorite part of the song was the drum beat. It's volume was loud compared to the synth and I think that was the reason for the song being so soothing (at least in my oppinion) The keys were also great, the melody was intricate without bringing all of the attention to it. Everything just flowed seamlessly and this is definantly a song you should be proud of. I have no suggestions to give. Good job.

LiquidEcstacy responds:

Thanks a lot =)
I really appreciate it =)

I really liked this song. You did an incredibly good job of making it diverse throughout the song by adding new drum and synth tracks as the song went on. That made it very fun to listen to for the full 3 minutes. Unlike most people who try to do what you did here, which would be overlapping a lot of tracks on top of eachother, it did not sound at all chaotic or cluttered which is not an easy thing to do.

The one problem I did have with the song was that at some parts the transitions the song made did not flow very well. Take 1:02 for example, that synth track was incredibly quiet compared to the rest of the song and at the volume I was listening to sounded like a 10 second long blank space which is definantly not something you want in a song.

Other then that the song was perfect and definantly worthy of my 5. Good job.

FunkmasterCatking responds:

Thanks! I'm surprised, usually my biggest problem is cluttered-ness.

This song just seamed pretty empty. All it was were those chime like percussions, a few drum beats throughout the song (not enough) and that anoying buzzing sound. Consider this, instead of living with the buzz and basing your song around that buzz you could get rid of it because it's anoying and offers pretty much nothing to the song. Replace it with some synth tracks, you don't need to make it anything fancy. Just something to fill the emptiness that this song seamed to have.

The drums really wern't that bad so you could probably keep those for a future song. Adding synth is a must for this song to be good though. Looping the song would also make it a lot better considering how short it was.

Pickle-Juice537 responds:

I appreciate your review, but it was intentionally minimalistic. I understand about the buzz, but I though it sounded purdy.
Also, you should probably turn the speakers up a little bit, because the drums are supposed to be more audible, but the song came out really quiet.
And I just fixed the loop problem, but it stays silent at the end for too long a time for the loop effect to work, and there's nothing I can do.
Also, I'm considering expanding on this song, if I find the time.

It was a pretty good song, the guitar had a nice melody to it. The fast pace of the song and the transition from synth back to guitar at around 2:05 was kind of cool and set the mood that you were trying to give. The biggest change that needs to be made here is the percussions I think. There was only one noise there throughout the entire song, I think you can do better then that.

Overall it was a very good song with some nice fast paced actiony guitar sounds. I hope you're friend stop trying to commit suicide =/

dammit-dude-2006 responds:

he did about 2 years ago :P thanks for the good review
i made a couple mistakes in the thing with the drums.

It was a very well made song. The synth and the percussions sounded good but nothing really seamed to flow well. For one, if you ask me the volume difference between different sections of the song was to much. I don't like to listen to my music loud so I found myself adjusting the volume multiple times throughout the course of the song.

Also a bit could be done to stop the reptitivness, The song never really seamed to change that much. There needed to be some sort of noticable break in the usual synth towards the middle. You know something different without really changing the song.

Other then those two things it was still a very well made good song and I hope to hear more from you soon.

I thought this was a really awsome track. It wasn't nothing new or interesting at the beggining but at about 1:05 the song really started getting good. I loved that drum track, it fit in so well with the rest of the song. The slow pace gave it a creepy vibe to it which I'm guessing by the name of the game you're making a song for, is what you're aiming for.

The one suggestion I would make is you must do something with that blank space. I don't really see how or why it's there. I can't say for sure since I don't know what program you're using, but on any program it shouldn't be that hard to shave off the blank space at the end.

Other then that, this was one of the best VG song remakes I have heard in a while, good job.

The guitar playing was really great and so was the bass but something just seamed not right here. It sounded like two different songs put together if you ask me. First part being guitar and second being bass. The guitar really made a great intro so defiantly save it for a future, full length song

If the bass was supposed to be an outro, then you probably started to early for a song as short as this. Also you won't want to end the guitar as ubruptly as you did and just go right into the bass play. The transition sounded pretty sloppy if you ask me. Also you'll want to do something about that blank space at the end.

All in all, there was definantly a lot of skill in this song. It was just presented in not the best way you could. Just try to add more to the middle and try to spice up the outro a bit because it didn't sound to good the way it was now.

Jesus-Owns-X responds:

Ya i thought about that.

It did seem to just switch abruptly and the ending was lame.

Im just getting started in music and stuff and this wasn't that good i admit.

But i thank you for your input my good sir.

It was a pretty well made song. It's just that the entire first half seamed like an intro. I don't know if you wanted it to be that way or if it just happened but you have to do something with the first 2 minutes of this song for this track to be up to its full potential. Just try to get that 2 minutes down to about 30 seconds and it will be great because everything after that first half is perfect.

thanks!

but anyway, thank u 4 da reveiw!

It was pretty good. I really liked the synth in this song, it was fast paced and fun to listen to. It was slightly repetitive at the beginning which may be something you should edit, just taking out some of the unnececary spaces between the different sections of the song towards the begginning. Remember the first reaction is the most important one ^_^. The vocals were also a very nice addition to an already very good song, even if it was just you saying blue eyes a couple times throughout the song, I thought it made a big impact on the song as a whole.

Anyways great song here. Maybe you should try ressurecting a few other "scraped projects" because if this will be the outcome every time then it would definantly be worth it.

Stargame responds:

I've got another "Tiesto inspired" one that I abandoned... I've been thinking about remaking that one for awhile. It all depends on whether or not I feel like fixing it, but I might see what I can do with it.... Anyway, thanks for the in-depth review!
